What about Ceramic paint protection?

Arizona kills automotive paint. My X is Alpine white and I am getting ready to do a full exterior detail which will include paint correction, trim restoration and lens restoration.

My question: Who is using/has used Ceramic paint protection? What brand did you use and what are your thoughts on performance?

The Optimum gloss coat will provide a long lasting protection. Just follow the directions carefully when using it.

If this is a product you have used, what kind of longevity have you experienced? Is it a "one and done" application?

Thanks for the reply.

Opticoat pro. Had it put on a sterling silver x5 in 2015 (I think). Great stuff. At the time cost $1200 for correction and coating. Still holds up to this day 2 owners after I sold the truck.

Comparing it to my red x5, which supposedly also had Opticoat pro put on it in 2016 but was done cheaper by a smaller company, the grey truck looks much better. So I think the quality of the correction and the skill of application plays a factor. At least with that particular product.

That's pretty impressive an the longevity. I wasn't sure if it was only good for 2-3 years or what. Since our poor cars are not under cover, just shade from the trees, they take a beating. My X does look surprisingly good for 16 years old. It must have been garaged.

I'll be looking into the Opticoat. Thanks, CW!
