Spring Cleaning Car Detailing Frenzy!

Staying home sick from work is can have harmful effects to the checkbook. I spent most of the evening reading through www.autopia.org (a great website may I add) and now have caught another bug - the detailing bug.

I initially went to the website to find out how to clean my gray leather interior which is starting to look somewhat dirty. I got my answer, but I ended up learning a ton of new detailing information that I didn't know previously. It's a great website for how-to's and reviews on detailing products.

As a result, I went and bought a bunch of stuff off the web. Purchase #1 was a Porter Cable 7424 Orbital Buffers for $119 from Coastal Tools which includes a 6" Hook & Loop Contour Pad and 6" Counterweight so I can dual utilize the PC7424 as a sander. The used PC7424's are going for over $100 on eBay, so buying this new one was a deal.

Purchase #2 was the Extreme Detailers Essential Products Kit from Chemical Guys. Normal price of the kit is $227.95 but they had a special ending Monday (03/20) for $120. This link will probably be good until someone notices that the expiration date has passed.

Purchase #3 is an eBay bid on a Mac Tools brake stool:

I'll probably use all this stuff once and bury in the garage...
