Z5 for dark colors + Waynes SP Microfiber Towels = SWEET

While those lucky ones back east were meetin', some of us were working.....
Dawned it, Clayed it, Z5'd it....I have an Oxford Green '01 ....paint was very swirlly, some minor scratches and water spots/bird shits on the roof and hood.....clay removed all water spots and shits, Z5 phenomenally deswirled the dark green and eliminated many of the scratches I've been looking at since I got it in Dec....Z6 gloss enhanced it (an anti-static), re Z5'ed it and finished again with Z8, their super-duper gloss enhancer.....about 8 hours of work, but the X's paint has never had such depth and contrast, the metallic specks are just blingin'.....all with out a buffer...Waynes Super Plush Microfiber towels make Zaino removal a snap.....good stuff....Z2 tomorrow to top it off for the summer protective layer....pic to follow tomorrow....

mdk5623, or anyone with polishing/waxing knowledge
I'm new to the world so forgive me if this has been covered in another forum but could you give a break down on the products you would suggest to buy/use. On my old Ford Exhorrible I just used a coat of turtle wax and called it a day, but know I have a smoked grey X and want to have it "blinging" before my 20" 87s get here. I went to zaino website but just wondering do I need all of that? Whats a good place to purchase besides on line. Im quite sure I will not be able to find in Wal-Mart. LOL

I'd suggest the z5 for swirls/scratches x 2 coats, follow with z2....finish with z6, for the minimum zaino application....it's worth it....online only...

Zaino or Menzerna. Meguiars NXT if you want a decent quick job with less pain. Zaino is online only

You will like the durability and ease of use.

Make sure to wash with liquid Dawn 2x before applying the "Z". (you want to make sure there is not a trace of wax or other silicone on the paint.

Also, it will look better and apply easier if you wipe down with Z6 before applying and between every coat.
Use Z8 between washig or after washing for that extra kick

Make sure to apply very very sparingly and use quality Towels to remove, quality Mitts for washing and quality Waffle Weave Towels for drying.

You do not want to spend $$$ on Zaino and then introduce scratches and swirls using a Wal Mart Rag.

Hope this helps...

Thanks!
I ended up buying the kit because getting the z1,2,5,7 and 8 cost just as much as the kit almost. Im a lil intimidated buy the clay bar . Is it really necessary if im using the dawn twice? If so then Clay bar it is. Not too worried though, I know I can always count on you guys to help me out .

The clay bar is a must...
If your paint is not as smooth as wet ice, you need clay

A little Z goes a long way. Less is more.

You can't beat the quality of Wayne's towels.
