A top notch Zaino job will reduce the likely hood of
bird crap "sticking", in the future.

Leave it alone. It WILL evaporate. It etches in but I have noticed that the ones I have gotten in all my vehicles (my previous was JET BLACK), have all GONE away to an extent that it is barely visible, if even there... I PROMISE.
Best thing to do is to wash off as soon as possible (sometimes even 5 minutes there is too late). A clay bar will remove the top layer that still sits on the surface, but w/e has penetrated will end up staying for a little while longer, but will eventually go away. I have no real explanation for it, but thats my experience with all the cars I've owned and have worked with and seen later on. |

Darn Birds
Nailed my Sapphire Black X-5. Tried everything from Scratch X to Citra Solv to hand cleaner to Bug and Tar remover. Nothing worked. I'm going to try a Clay bar next.

I used Zemol and plenty of elbow grease and i't came out. But to prevent it one needs to apply a good coat of wax.

This is why I always have a bottle of soda water on hand. Just pour a little on and then wipe away. I wouldnt wash the whole car with it, but good for small bird spots.

get a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and a rag. it works every time. just make sure you wax the spot afterwards. it also gets tree sap off.
trust me, it works.

I think there is a bird poop thread here somewhere--I remember seeing it earlier in the year...G/L with the residual stain.
