Basically, anything will get the soda stain out.

Update** I got the soda stains out with the kirby spot treater. It gets all different food stains out of carpets.

Ok Here's the answer. Just had the same problem, Spilled coke on a light colored truck carpet. Got a terry towel and a small stiff brush. And i used this. After 20 years of cleaning carpets i have found nothing that works like this. Uses foam, does not soak the carpet, and dry's fast. Oh yeah the coke spot? Not a trace of it anywhere.

Carbona Carpet cleaner is great too, never had an issue with it discoloring any automotive carpet.
