a damp clean rag, then quickly wipe it off with a dry towel.

And if you have something heavy or sticky like soda, ketchup, etc. first MIST (not saturate, not soak, not drown) the area with water and wipe or if still present use a 1/30 dilution of Simple Green/Water and mist then wipe.

Don't bother with wood cleaner or the like as the wood vaneer is covered in a sheet of plastic to protect it... because of the plastic, DO NOT use solvents, abrasives or ammonia/bleach as they will dull the protectant.
