Dirt Devil Detailer Vac...
Don't know about you guys, but it drives me crazy to see those minute little fibers that settle on the instrument panel and horizontals of your car mere moments after you "finish" (do ever REALLY finish?) detailing the interior. Anyway, I just wanted to pass along that I've been using this little fellow for about 3 weeks now and it seems to do its job really well.
Good points = 1) Cheap......about $20 (Radio Shack) 2) Brush attachment gets crevices pretty well 3) Rechargeable 4) Small......fits in the glove box or door panel and is slightly larger than your hand. 5) Reusable filter......just shaking it releases almost all of the captured dust and dirt. Things to consider = 1) Not quite powerful enough to pick up sand with the brush attachment on, but take that off and you can get the majority of it if the unit is well charged. 2) Less charge means less powerful (obviously) 3) If you get too aggressive with it by applying too much downward force at the tip, the snap on cannister will...well... snap off. 4) Can become addicting 5) Won't work on the carpet, but then again that's not what it was designed for. I'm driving cross country here in a few weeks and will add this to my warbag (along with some MF towels, spray bottle of diluted Simple Green, and other stuff) so that the X5 isn't in too bad a shape when we're done. Plus it'll help me keep my sanity.....
