Dashboard cleaner?

What do you use to clean the dashboard of the X5? Any towel weather paper or cloth seems to leave residue if wet and does not clean deeply enough if not wet. I have not found the best cleaner to bring back that new look. Any suggestions? Where can I find it?

No brainer IMHO..Always use the BMW OEM cleaners..They were designed for them (obviously) and maintain the same smell and same texture for the dash...Same for the leather, etc...

Hmmm...

I prefer Vinylex applied with a terry cloth covered foam applicator. I will look a little foamy at first but dries to a rich, non-glossy finish.

He's right. Get the oem products they sell, especially the german made ones. Amazing results. So that's how they make their cpo's look so new and clean.

Just went to the stlr yesterday, and they just came out with a 'cockpit" cleaner..it fills the void the dash cleaner leaves with the plastic stuff..It is an "easy cleaner" that you can just spray all over the place...havent tried it out yet, but I will this weekend...

Vinylex

It comes in an orange bottle and is in stock most times at Pep Boys, Home Depot, Lowes but definitely at NAPA Auto stores.

I use ArmorAll Vinyl cleaner and conditioner. It gives brand new look to my dashboard and lasts for almost three or four months.

stay away from armor all cleaners, what it is applied to will fade quicker. If you want to clean the dash, just use a damp cloth, for teh rest of the interior vinyl I use Meguiars products.
