there are a lot of variables are you using an orbital polisher/doing this by hand.

how bad are the swirls and paint imperfections?

Klasse AIO is a polish and synthetic wax that lasts 6 months. Very nice!

I use Klasse AIO and sealant for many years. They are German products. Very shiny and last longer (6 months)!!

I've started to use Turtle wax Ice in between waxes. Good stuff and you don't have to worry about it hitting plastic and turning it white.

That's a good point.

I want my next wax to be one that I can apply by hand AND doesn't make all the black plastic trim on my E70 turn white! There is a lot of black plastic on the E70.

That is one of the great benefits of the Klasse as well. I HATED masking the trim prior to discovering Klasse.

carnauba wax

i find any wax that has or is 100% carnauba wax is fantastic and it even makes the plastic trim shine, it also hides all swirl marks. if you were to sit on the hood you would slide off faster than you could say ouch
