MOTHERS SCRATCHX
I was at Canadian Tire and found a bottle called Mother ScratchX. Does it really work at hiding little scratches on the paint of a Toledo blue x5. The scratches are not big deep scratches and are barley seen by other people but I'm very picky and was wondering if anyone has used this or some other type of scratch remover to make the x5 look the best. Anyone used this? Thanks.

I used this to get rid of the swirls on our 3 series, it also had a few scratches. I would've much rather used a Mernzerna polish with some more cut in it, as the ScratchX barely was able to get rid of much swirls/scratches.

I only have very very minor scratches on the front hood by the emblem. The scratches aren't easily noticeable but I would like them to be covered. Do you think it would do the job for tiny scratches or is it just absolutely horrible.

It works for the tiny ones. I use Meguiars Scratch remover. It works about as well as you could expect. And definitely makes scratches much less noticeable... I know the dealer came out with a product that covers up sratches as well. Basically the better solution to touch up paint i believe. I saw it up close and its about 20 bucks in the parts department. I'll probably pick up a batch and see how it does..

As far as I know these products are fillers and just hide the scratches/swirls rather than actually doing anything about them. The imperfections in the paint will most likely show up again after 3-5 washes.

I think I might try meguiars scratch remover since I also use meguiars wax.
