Hello and Thank you!!

If there is anything I can do to help the forum (besides answer questions, etc), please feel free to email me.
I am very open and like to help people achieve the finest for their vehicles and am willing to share a wealth of knowledge to those that desire to keep their ride looking new and with a shine that keeps heads turning!!

Many of the members have invited me over the last several months and I finally decided to give it a "look at"
(I like what I see, very nice)

Cool So what do you reccomend?

Just curious as to what you would reccomend for new 2006 X5 3.0 Stratus Grey Metallic with Beige/Tan Leather and Wood Trim?
Any initial coatings of sealant to help protect from the beginning?
What is your opinion of how long the factory seal/paint will stay shiny etc.?
Any advice on initial treatment of interior to help preserve with two young boys riding in the back alot?

Thanks for any advice!!
I figure you can provide some advice from the Hot Summers and rainy fall/winters we have here in the South..That is if your South means Southeast USA>>>>>>

Hello

For new or showroom condition paint, I amways recommend a product without ANY abrasives
(a lot of products that you would not think contain abrasives contain them, even though the bottle does not advertise it, even in very small amounts, and you do not want to use on new or perfect paint..., Ya wanna know how I know this, LOL!!)

Every dealer, generally speaking, uses a different product, so it is hard to tell.
What I can tell you is that the products used by the dealership are the same type sealants you can purchase from any supplier.
The biggest difference is the dealer usually applies with a buffer.

In most cases, what the dealer uses also contains a glaze, which helps conceal any imperfections in the paint, at least until the customers first wash.

My advise, there are much better choices...

I can recommend several products that I personally use-

The original 1Z Glanz Formula (I purchased the last of the "good stuff", before the formula change that has to be VOC compliant) or you can also use Zaino ZPRO, Z5 or Z2 or Collinite if you like a wax over a sealant.
Collinite has several waxes, but look for the Insulator Wax, works great, lasts long and easy to apply/remove.

IMO, after extensive testing of 100's of products, both consumer and professional, the above products will serve you well, protect long term and very easy to apply.

We are also working on a new sealant and polish, almost 2 years in the making and I believe everyone will be thrilled with the results

For your interior, you can have a professional add a layer of protection to the fabric's, although, generally speaking, most auto fabrics are quite good at repelling stains and dirt, however, an extra layer would not hurt

If you would like to "DIY", you can try going to a professional carpet cleaning supply store, such as Steamway, if you have one local and pick up the supplies to do the work yourself, but I would still recommend a prodessional for this job.

Hope this helps
