One can find it much cheaper however Please note: Before the wax is applied for the first time, it is imperative that the paintwork is pretreated with Cleaner Fluid. Otherwise the wax will not bond with the paintwork. Another $24.00. But really? $700.00 for wax....
I found it for $200.00 and even that price is ridiculous. ![]()

$700?!
![]() I don't think a full tilt boogie detail at Phil's costs that much... It goes for high $2s to ~$300, on the net. Must be remarkable, though neither my '01 X or '02 VetteVert need/require that, imo. Not instigating a which wax is best thread; Zaino is fine by me. GL, mD

I prefer using a polymer sealant as an LSP (power lock and sonax polymer net shield are my favorites currently) because many traditional paste waxes might not have the 6 month durability of a sealant.
After the 24 hour cure of my sealant I usually follow up with a coat of wax on top for added depth to the shine, Collinite 845 or Adams Americana paste wax are my current favorites for topper waxes. If you're getting major coin for the detail and already have the Swissvax product that's great, but I'd be sure to charge the customer accordingly for using a $200 LSP as opposed to Sonax Net Shield which is $27

Let's be honest, it doesn't matter what anyone uses to protect their paint.
It shouldn't cost $700.00...... Nuff said.

i mentioned $700.00 randomly because i was joking... $200.00 is excessive... especially if it is in the hands of, say, a weekend warrior type, like me... i will use quality product, but im not spending those prices ever. Griots Garage, and Chemical Guys products are my choices an im sticking to them.

Pledge original, $5. Makes black look like someone polished it.

A lot of silicone will do that Slick.
It's an old trick but why put an oily silicone finish on your car? For touchups and spritzing wipe downs I have a dedicated QD/Detail Spray that works amazing and makes the paint look freshly glossed, I just don't have the heart to put down a product that I use for dusting my coffee table on my paint.

The X5 gets nothing better than a $20 bottle of Rejex. As long as it is protected for a few months, I'm happy. I'll do maintenance washes every month until the coating wears off, and then I'll repeat.
Funny how the X5 gets better paint treatment than my 318. I haven't thought about washing it yet and only bring it outside in the rain to rinse the salt off.
