Those look like nice aftermarket replacement rotors, nothing special about them. But you have to be sure they work.
I think this is what you meant!

Lowblock has the right of it. To fit the 4.6iS rotors you needed the calipers & carriers due to the increased diameter.

Thinking about it some, would standard calipers bolt on to 4.6is carriers?

That could open up a world of possibilities...4.6is calipers on standard rotors, or 4.6is rotors using 4.6is carriers and standard calipers?

Use realoem to cross reference

Good suggestion!

I just checked the caliper housing of a 4.6is caliper and it is used by the 4.8is AND euro 4.4i...so it looks like euro 4.4's can upgrade to bigger discs with a carrier and disc swap!

Off to cross reference other parts...

Hmmm...cross referencing some more...some euro 4.4i X5's come with 4.6/4.8is front brakes, complete with larger discs.

US non-iS models whether 6 or 8cyl share the same brakes, shared with E38's and E39's.

No easy iS retrofits for us non-iS owners, you need to swap over calipers, carriers, and discs to play.

On the other hand, time to look at E39- market brake upgrades, there might be some good ones there that fit E53's too.

when you do a cross reference that also includes euro models, in addition to the realoem.com, you can use realoem.lv - that is a latvian counterpart to the real oem, but it is loaded with some parts that are exclusive to euro market, and not loaded even into the euro search on the regular real oem...
