Can I use e53 X5 4.6 rotors?

I have an 03 4.4 with the following options:

S226A SPORTLICHE FAHRWERKSABSTIMMUNG Sports suspension settings
S255A SPORT-LEDERLENKRAD Sports leather steering wheel
S312A LM RAEDER MIT MISCHBEREIFUNG BMW LA wheels with mixed tires
P330A SPORTPAKET Sports package

These are on my local CL:

356x36 MM for BMW X5 4.6-4.8 L engine

Can I use them?

from my understanding, the rears on the iS models are ventilated, and the fronts are bigger that regular, hence the requirement for 18" wheels minimum (even a spare is at 19")... the rears on the regular E53 are not ventilated, and the cross check in realoem does not match those rotors back to regular X...

i would say - no...

but, as always, you better check with somebody who knows this...

I think for 140 it's worth looking at them.

My X has 19 inch rims so from that perspective not a problem. If I decide to look/get them I'll report my findings.

Thanks!

do you know the manufacturer of those rotors? i am a cheap skate myself but certain things should be of established quallity - brakes being one of those things...

sometimes a foot shaven off braking distance makes a lot of difference

I sent a message asking the seller. I agree savings is good but have learned cheap rotors suck. I had no name rotors on my G37S caliper equipped 350Z that were warped in under 2000 miles.

That is when I got 600 each DBA 2 piece rotors. I won't consider them if they are no name. Thanks

I just did my best to measure the rotors with the rim on and came up over 14 inches.

356mm= 14.0157.

He finally got me pictures. They are a Centric brand.

They seem ok, but are available on Amazon for 65.xx each shipped.

The first question is are they ok?

I was under the impression to use the 4.6 rotors on the 4.4's you have to use the carriers/calipers as well. Is that incorrect as I was wanting to do this upgrade as well.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
I'm fairly certain the calipers and carriers are different, hell, if I could just put bigger rotors on my 3.0 I would! Would love to have increased stopping distance.

Those look like nice aftermarket replacement rotors, nothing special about them. But you have to be sure they work.
