I currently own a 07 3.0si and interested in buying the 20" Y spoke rims that are optional for the 07 4.8si. Can you provide me with a quote for 275/40/20 (front) and 315/35/20 (rear) tires? Also, can you tell me which brand has the best tread life and if I run-flats provide a better ride?

Run-flats provide a much worse ride. Will you keep your oe set for winter? Also, sure you don't want to wait a few months so that you can get the wheels cheaper?

OE Dunlop runflats are $ 429 and $434 (each) respectively. We have non RFT tires from Michelin and Yokohama in stock as well, and they average about $ 100 per tire less. Based on customer feedback the Michelins tend to be the most durable (35K miles or better) than the Yokohamas, but we expect both tires to be more durable than the runflat Dunlops. Both ride quality and durablity have been a disappointment for most BMW owners with the OE runflats (please chime in if anyone feels otherwise).

This will affect my decision on the next set I get. I'm not thrilled with the OE RFT's to begin with, I just don't think they stick enough.

Not too much direct feedback as of yet, some X5 4.4 owners have gotten as little as 15K out of the rears with "enthusiastic" driving
