Q about changing 18'' rims to 20'' rims
I ordered style168 V-spoke 20'' rims for my 2006 4.4i with sport package and made an service appointment to change them on Friday. (Currently, i have style183, Y-spke 18'' rims now.) Is there any additional part needed to change 18'' to 20''?? or are the new 20'' rims fit into my X5 without a problem?? Thanks.

It should just snap right on. You can even use the existing lugs.

Thanks.
Then, what does ET45, 30 mean?? The #for style183 is ET 48. Whatare those numbers meaning?

the ET refers to the offset in millimeters. The offset is the distance between the mounting surface of the rim and the centerline of the rim.
Tirerack.com has a good explaination of offset. Read it, it'll make more sense than what I can explain here. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...jsp?techid=101 |

then, doesn't it mean that i need additional parts to adjust the different number of offset from 18''rims to 20''??

No, you shouldn't need any addtional parts. If the 18"s had a 48 mm offset compared to the 45 mm offset on the 20s, you won't notice a difference. Or do the 20s have a 35 mm? I can't tell from your post. Even at a 35mm, the 20s will sit 13 mm closer to the center of the car, but, if they are wider than the 18s, the outside face of the wheel will be about the same.
Bottom line (that was a confusing answer ) is that you should be able to just bolt the 20s on with no mods.
