Need brakes and roters replaced, HELP

My brake light is on so im assuming I need to replace brakes and rotors again. I don't want to take it to the dealer again so I'm going to try ebay or see if anyone on here has any for sale. What brand name should I buy and also can I take it anywhere to have them put on or do I have to go to the dealer.. Thanks for your help guys. I'm a single girl with this car and have payed thousands at the dealer cause I don't know where to go so I really appreciate all the help I have recieved from you.

Zechhausen Racing deals with a great set of rotors and pads. I installed their products and am totally satisfied. It was less than half the price the sdealer wanted.

You can get a set of Brembo rotors off of eBay for not all that much. And those are a more the adequate replacement for your stock rotors IMO.

Front and rear kits, $150 each.

Beware, some of those Brembos are cheap because they are made in Mexico and they are cheap quality (I've bought a set and returned them because they didn't match in thickness, even within the same rotor- inside & outside discs). If you find ones made in Italy, go for it.

I've bought rotors time after time from eBay and been fine. Just research the seller.

I've tried with Brembo and Axxis Pads and that combination did not work for me. Rotors warped quickly. I think what the other poster said about Brembos made in Mex is right.

I then tried ATE and Jurid pads and it is like the OEM but cheaper (actually I believe these brands are the ones who make the parts for BMW), anyway go with the OEM specifications.

I got mine from import replacement parts (search them on the web) or ask the tirerack if they carry them (after all it will be nice if we can support who sponsors our forum right?).

BTW I am not affiliated with either of them.

Good luck.
