Michelin Latitude Tour all-season are very nice... no problems with them and I also don't like to swap summer to winter each year...
been on ice and snow with no problems... i like them!

Doc,
What about the Hankook Ventus ST RH06. This has gotten some good press especially in the all season (true all season) catagory. Any comments pro or con appreciated. Seems I am thinking to put these on and they are available for the sport package or staggered requirement. Thanks T |

never heard of them... guess i haven't been looking for too many alternatives...
i've used michelins for my sportbike and now the trucks... they never let me down... had the dunlops.. and hated them!! (many call them dunflops!) not sure about the hankooks!

We don't sell the Hankook line (save for one model off a Ford), so couldn't say much I'm afraid.

Well, I have bought the Pirelli Scopion Zero Asymmetrico from Tire Rack due to excellent reviews for both dry/rain and light snow performance.
It is a high-performance all-season tire and they have tire sizes for all the E53 X5s both 18 and 19" wheel options. I've been using the 19" wheel option 255/50-19 (front) and 285/45-19 (rear) and drove through 18" of fresh powder with my '01 X5 with no problem. Made it through some light snow in early October 2001 on 395 through Mammoth last month. Using Tire Rack's awesome website, do a comparo between the Pirelli Scorpion Zero A's vs. the Michelin Latitude. Keep me updated, as I may try the Michelin Latitudes next time around!!
