20" Beyern 5 in Silver, 8.5 on front, 10 on rear. (They don't come in 9.5 or 10.5 with proper offsets for a BMW X5.) Toyo Proxes S/T, 275/40ZR-20, and 315/35ZR-20. (Dealer says these are sized right to have equal rotation on front and rear axles. I'm not real sure what that means, except he said it's important.) It's not too late to cancel or change things. What do you guys think of this setup? Dave

Perfect, the dealer means the overall diameter of the front and rear wheels are pratically the same.

Post some pics when you get them put on. Actually, I looked at the tires on my X. I have 9 x 19 front rims with 255/50 tires. My backs rims are 10 x 19 with 285/45 tires. I am just a little curious if you are actually getting tires that may be a little too wide for your rims. You are getting the tire sizes recommended for the style 87's on the 4.6 X5 but your rims are not as wide as the 4.6. Any opinions out there?

I wanted a wider stance on the X, but he says something about the offset makes it harder to get things to look right. He said something about the front tires would stick out further than the rear ones, if the sizes are wrong. I deferred to his greater knowledge. I'm curious to see what it all looks like when its done. I'm hoping it's kick-ass. ![]() Dave

Well, I got my new wheels and tires installed. I really like them, and they're performing better than I expected. Cruising on the freeway at "traffic speeds" (insert your preferred actual mph here
![]() I ended up with the Beyern 5 wheels in silver, 8.5's on the front, and 10's on the rear. 20" Toyo Proxes S/T tires, in 275/40ZR-20 and 315/35ZR-20. No interference at all with the OEM mudflaps. Pictures of my X are attached. (Apologies for the water spots on the wheels - it was freshly washed, and I couldn't wait to take some pictures.) What do you think? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Those rims look sweet and those tires look even better. I'm picking up my X5 3.0 next week and I'm already looking at upgrading the wheel package. Let us know how those Toyo's work out for you as I like their aggressive appearance.

Coming late to the discussion, but looks like good advice from all. We don't have access to the Toyo full line, but Bridgestones and Michelins are our best sellers.
