Wheel Arch Ext w/ 21" on E70?

Does anyone know if a Wheel Arch Extension is required for upgrading my E70 4.8 to OEM 21" Style 128? I currently have factory 19"s on and will keep those as the winter setup. Thank you to everyone for all of the great info over the years.

It depends on the model and options, SE or Sport. Sport comes with extended arches as standard. And SE can have 9Jx19 ET:48 front and back or 9JX19 ET:48 front 10JX19 ET:53 Back.

If your arches look like this then yes you will





If your arches look like this then you will not

Thank you. I did order the arch kit from RoverActive on ebay, and a plastic rivet tool from a seller on Amazon ($20). I replaced the standard arches that came with the sport package and 19" wheels. It was amazingly easy to do myself. I drilled out the center of the old rivets and installed the new arches (thanks to some helpful posts). It took about 1 hour, start to finish. I will post photos when I mount the the new 21" 128s, as soon as the snow melts.

The flared arches make a big difference as seen in the photos you posted.
