Camber/Caster?

My local dealer wanted $1800 to change my upper rear control arms and front thrust arm bushings. He said I needed it before getting new tires and a $200 alignment.

I took it to my indy of 22 years and he said it needed nothing. He couldn't make the rear wheels move as he showed me what would show I needed control arms. With the money saved I bought new tires and went for an alignment.

I took it to another Indy for the alignment and he couldn't get the front or rear right side set to specs. The car has had no accidents (except I hit a deer LF last spring). I also understand that I may not want them set to factory specs.

The new tires look waaaayyyyyy too cockeyed in the REAR.

Any ideas? What Camber setting should I ask him to set the car to??????????????

IMHO you do want them to factory spec and there is something wrong if they can't be corrected properly. I'd try another BMW dealer.
