Worn tire in the middle.
So here is the thing,i have Michlin Diamaris 315 all around, and in the rear they have wear in the middle. It has 2/32 in the middle and 5-6/32 on both sides. I bought that pair used of Ebay,so should i be concerned???? Do i need to replace them or it is good to go stilll? How many miles you think i can go till replacement?

Excessive wear in the middle usually means that the tire is over inflated. If there's no rain in the near future, you can usually drive it until all the tread are gone. But I would start ordering a new set at the wear bar. Since these huge tires are usually not stock at a lot of places, ordering them could take some times to arrive...so factor that into the equation.
So...monitor your tires more closely and adjust the pressure accordingly as soon as you see any wear variations. Lower pressure slightly when you see excessive center wear. Pump up pressure slightly when you see excessive outer edges wear, etc.... |
