Just kiddin' fellas, I won't tread on your turf. I understand how seniority works..........or doesn't........depending................. No matter, I fit less than 1/2 of "hips" demographic fan base.......likely a deal breaker

Thanks again to all........never thought I'd look forward to an early dustin' of the white stuff, but I do now.

Ken
Some of my favorite fans here are married...and over 60. There are no lines. Just don't try and muscle Motordavid or Quick out of position and all will be good.

Glad you got your winter set up, it was the smart choice. Be warned...the mod bug bites hard. DO NOT read any of Richirich's threads...It's a highly contagious disease. You've been warned.

Oh, by the way, there's this little scale at the upper right.... just kidding. I can't take advantage of a newbie

I'll consider myself warned........ Motordavid and Quick are safe.

Appreciate the posts and help cmyX5go! Yep.....I also think that my new winter set-up was a prudent choice, but I didn't come to that conclusion all on my own.......my thanks to all of you.

I've no doubt that the mod bug can be a vicious little SOB. Even though no one is immune, I find myself spending inordinate amounts of money on my boat and while boating/fishing. We travel a lot as well and being older than 30, but younger than 60, I'm quite able to take most any trip and not have to worry about physical limitations.

Keep up the good work cmyX5go.....it's refreshing to see that there's still such free spirits out there. I'm so tired of those that live and breathe the norm and PC that runnin' into somebody such as yourself gives one new found hope.........

This newbie could be only taken advantage of if he so desires it, so don't you worry about that!! The last thing I need is some desirable gal assuming that position! You're funny and quick witted as well..................both as attractive, to me anyway, as one's outer shell.

Keep up the good work................................

Ken

Hey, Ken...way too bad you didn't find this forum prior to your purchase. What many do not get is that summer tires are just that, and winter tires are, well...just that.

My .02? Well, if one does not live in the North-Eastern or Mid-Western (etc.) areas of US...or muddy/sandy/snowy parts of other areas on this planet, a good all season tire is really the way to go for most to have good wet/dry performance, and get around when it's snowy. Summer tires provide amazing dry and wet performance (from cool to hot water temperatures), but, they're essentially useless in icy and/or snowy conditions. If it never snows where you live, these are ideal.

Winter tires are ideal in areas that get tons of snow/ice, and rarely a day on the glacier, I mean, beach! They're loud and slippery on dry ground, but will get you up a mountain of snow in a rear-wheel drive Chevette with 85 HP carrying a huge payload!

For snow, the way to go is higher profile either all season or snow tires.

For year 'round sun and rain only, summer tires are great.

For year 'round sun and rain with the occasional snow each year, all seasons are ideal.

I wanna say so much more, but, I'm sleepy...to be continued if one wants me to say more...lol...geez, I'm exhausted!
