What Tires Should I Get For Style 87's

i just recently got my hands on a set of style 87's staggered rims (9.5 front and 10.5 rear). i was just wondering if i should go with all season tires or just get summer tires. i do have the original 17 inch style 130 rims that came with the X. they have brand new Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus all around. being from new york city we dont really get that much snow in the winter. i was wondering if most people take the 87's off in the winter? also the Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus are not that great in the snow. is it worth me getting all season tire and putting them on the 87's? or should i just get summer tires and put the 130's back on in the winter? also what kind of tires should i get? what size do i need? i hear a lot about Toyo's and Vredestein Sessanta's. we do get a fair share of rain around here so i would like a tire thats good in the rain also, and a nice quite tire with a good thread count due to the fact that i put on a lot of miles. i've had my X for almost 4 months and i have put on over 6K miles already. appreciate all the help, thanks guys.

NYC is like here in DC...it snows only once in a while, BUT, when it does....WHEW! I highly recommend getting all-season tires. A good all-season tire will handle extremely well in wet and dry weather, and will most likely last you longer than the summer tires.

Re: the brands, sorry, I cannot help you there.

i bought Toyo Proxes ST 2's today off ebay. i went to my friends tire shop and they told me $1750.00 for the staggered set. i bought them off ebay for $870.00 with free shipping. there are some great reviews on these tires. and they should look really good with the 87's. hopefully i get them before the weekend so i can get them balanced and mounted. the ebay user name is eastcoasttires. if anyone is interested here is the link on ebay for the 20" staggered setup:

as a word of advice, check the DOT stamping for the week/year of production to make sure it isn't 6 years old or something. otherwise, good buy!

"At the beginning of 2008 Toyo discontinued the original S/T and replaced it with the S/T II"

These are the ST2 or STII. So i guess being 6 years old is out of the question.

does anyone think i would need a set of spacers to offset the front wheels a little? also would the spaces help with the understeer? i was thinking maybe like 5mm spacers for the front?
