Rear Sway bar correct?

We have two X5's, I looked under my Dads X and noticed his links where installed on the opposite side.

This is the picture from my X? The PO had a slight rear end...
Is this the correct way these links should be installed??

Would this cause an issue with toe in/out ?

Anyone can pop there head under and see.

Thanks BTW 2006
