X Wheels on a 740?

Hi Guys,

I have a guy interested in my X (53) wheels for his 2001 740il.
I seam to recall reading somewhere that the offset is different but can't find that post.
Can anyone clarify this for me?
The wheels are from an '06 X and he's looking to put them on a 2001 740il.

Thanks a lot.

Bit late but here is an answer

7-series use wheels with offset in the low 20s, the X is normally 48mm. You would need 25-30mm spacers. I do not know if the CB on a 7 is 72.6 or 74.1 but that is easy to check.
