Winter Performance Tire..

I'm looking for a Winter Performance Tires for my X5M. I'll be running 275/40/20 all the way around. I know a lot of people have the Pirelli's Scorpion Ice and Snow's but it's not speed rated very high and kinda pricey. I've read good reviews on the Michele Latitude Alpin. Does anyone have any experience with this tire? I appreciate your input.

I would also look into NOKIAN Hakkapeliitta 5 or 7 SUV's either studded or non studded.....I have a set of the studded 5's in that size mounted on 4 20' style 214 front wheels (10") with tpms, but I have been told they would stretch over the 11' rears no problem if that is what you are planning....
I have been able to drive 80-100mph in dry and wet weather and 60 mph in 16" of unplowed snow in my previous vehicle (Touareg 107K miles) as I saw many lesser Suv's off in the woods or median, thus with out thought I purchased a new set for my X535d Thruway cruiser so I can continue driving with TOTAL Confidence in ALL Winter Conditions.

no way you drove any more than a crawl through 16" of snow , joker .
maybe you hit a snow drift at that speed .

It was on a unplowed 4 lane Interstate , pure powder , in a Touareg with air suspension which is more capable than most Suv's even the X5..... (but then it was VW service experience which was way inferior to most Dealer Service and especially to BMW's which made me turn to an X5) .

TRY the tires...I have regretted every other snow tire purchase I have made in comparison....

It must have been you ,while on vacation, that I saw in in the woods!!!! I am always wishing that people like you would just stay home!!!
