Can't trust anyone to mount the tires correctly.
I just got my car back from a shop two weeks ago and today I noticed that my large tires are both mounted on the left side of the vehicle.
I am about to "correct" this mis-mount, but I cannot imagine when/how this happened unless it was the last trip to the shop. When I purchased the tires a year ago, I remember having to tell the installer to correct them because he too had mounted them to the wrong axels. I can only hope that this mismounting has not been for more and the last two weeks, but I cannot account for how screwed up everything is... The thing that really bothers me is that looking at the tires today, I could see that two of the wheels have "13" molded into them and two have "15" - of course the 285s are mounted one on a "13" and one on a "15". I am guessing that the 15 indicates the 10 in wide wheels wile the 13 is the 9 - I will measure them when I move the tires. It seems that not even BMW will get it right - two years ago I stopped in Las Vegas BMW and had some wrok done, after that trip I also had to have the tires corrected after BMW mounted them on the wrong axels.

OK, so with the 132 wheels, it appears that the 15 is the small wheel and the 13 is the large. I now have the two smaller wheels on the left and the tires at the correct corners.
I guess at this time, all I can do is hope cross my fingers and hope that my transfer case is not screwed. It seems not to be at this time and the tires all measure out close to each other using crude measures.

That's why I have my tire mounting machine and balancer, I can't stand dealing with the average moron tire shop.

Remarkable...even my local HillbillyHeaven Quickie Lube, staffed by non-tech, HS dropouts, is more capable than those two experiences.
