295/45 r19 tires at rear instead of 285/45 r19?

Hello again

can I do this? currently got the staggered set-up 255/50 r19 9j up front 285/45 r19 10kj at rear, and wanna know if sticking on 294/45 at rear is ok? I calculated the overall tire height of the 295/45 is 0.9cm higher than the stock 285/45 ....just how sensitive are the x5s to this and would it cause problems?any feedback greatly appreciated

If you go to 295/45 in the rear you need to move to a 265/50 in the front to keep it matched, otherwise you might see damage to the drive train.

Ok thanks so the aim is to keep within a close a range as possible in terms of rolling circumference both back and rear? I checked drivers door and tire pressure/tire size chart on door and the 295/45 is not listed, although I am sure it it will fit on rim

@trix5 just noticed that when comparing the sizes of the stock setup get
285/45 r19 against 255/50 r19 =5mm diff in circumf

proposed setup
295/45 r19 against 265/50 r19 =1.5mm diff in circumf

295/45 r19 4.57mm sidewall height taller than stock 285/45
255/50 r19 5.08mm sidewall height taller than stock 255/50

So guess could go for this layout basically about 1cm higher tires than stock

I did this up-size about a month ago.

Make sure you change all 4 tires at the same time or your transfer case will not be happy.

Your speedo will be more accurate.

thanks for the replies, in the end changed the alloys altogether went to 17" and the stock 235/65 tire, very happy, much happier over the useless road we have here....
