E39 wheels on E70

They should bolt up right? Since I ordered the 20's stock, I am thinking of mounting the snow's on some e39 size wheels. A 19 x 8" wheel with a 15mm offset would have about the same amount of "tuck" that the factory 20 x 10" with a 40mm offset right?

10" = 254 mm / 2 = 127mm center - 40 mm offset = 87mm mounting face to outer lip

9" = 228mm / 2 = 114 mm - 25mm offset = 89 mm mounting face to outer lip

8.5" = 216mm / 2 = 108 mm - 20mm offset = 88mm mounting face to outer lip

8" = 203mm / 2 = about 102 - 15mm offset = 87mm mounting face to outer lip.

Does this make sense? Am I way off? I was looking at getting something in the 19 x 8.5 or 9" wide with the similar offset's.

What do you think? The hub sizes are the same...74.1

Joe

Look like it should work. I've seen 18" style65 replica (E39 M5 style for those that are not familiar) used as winter set.
