Different rolling radius on front+rear = blown diff?

Hi Guys

I temporarily have bigger radius tyres on my rears than on my front, as I'm waiting on my tyre shop to get my new rear tyres in. If I want to drive a few hundred kilometers like this, will it cause damage?

Fronts = 275/45R20
Rears = 295/45R20

So rears are slightly larger, meaning the centre diff will have to compensate for the different speeds at which these wheels spin?

I remember on my Mitsubishi Evo 6, the centre diff was a viscous diff, so running different radius wheels/tyres would overheat the centre diff, eventually causing failure and overheating.

How does the E53 X5 centre diff work? I have the 2005 3.0d model, with 6 speed automatic trans.

Thanks very much for any help..

Cheers,
Scott.

I dont think its a good idea.. That will for sure hurt your transfer case--whether it'll cause immediate damage now, not sure, but long term could cause a problem...
