Unhappy 2008 E70 Sport Suspension suddendly knelt

I have a 2008 E70 with Sport Suspension (auto-leveling?) and about 70K miles on it. Today, it suddenly knelt on the rear passenger side wheel. The car was parked for a few hours after I came into the office. When I walked out, I saw that the body is kind of slanted but the parking lot is leveled.

Upon closer look, it became evident that the rear right corner is sitting much lower than the normal. Rear left is fine and so is front right. The front left is overextended compared to normal but I assume this is because rear right is sitting too low.

Anyway, the car knelt on the rear right by itself. Now, I fired up the engine and the car leveled itself! I took several sharp turns in both sport and normal mode of the suspension and it behaved normally. I took a 10 mile ride and it seems ok now.

So, I am looking for advice as to what could have caused it to kneel and then to restore its normal position just by firing up the engine. Is it more likely a mechanical problem or rather an electrical/computer issue?

If this helps, 69.9K miles out of 70K were driven in Sport mode of the suspension.

Any hints will be greatly appreciated!

Oops... It looks like I found a possible answer on another forum. Smells like a worn-out suspension air spring.
