I have been trying to do both as well. Funny thing is that Im slow and it took about 20 minutes to get it from the odometer back to the radio! If you fiqure it out be sure to let me know! Maybe Tom the vendor knows. Tom G, any input? No matter what I still love it!

Is your X5 a 3.0L or 4.4L? I will need to know if you have the OBC beneath the cluster.

3.0L X5s will not be able to display text underneath the gauges (high cluster), it can only display on the MID.

I noticed when I turn the X off but I no longer carry any CDs or listen to the radio to find out! I got a 60 gig Ipod and its damn near full. Hell, who needs satelLITE when I got gigaBYTES?!?!?

Mine is a 4.4 2001 with Nav and DSP, IT shows up on the Nav screen but not the cluster. BTW I have the icelink not the Dice.

Actually Tom, it will display just not at the same time with the radio(probably what you meant)

The deck is the main thing anyway so Im still satisfied.

One more thing, do you know if there is a way to view the names of the playlist? Currently Im just pressing 2 then searching (2-01, 2-02, etc)

The DICE iPod kit does not offer playlist display, only the ice>Link Plus offers this feature.

Factory default is all switches set to "OFF". The kit will not operate correctly if the switches are set to any other position.
