What year/model are you?
Mine is a 2011. Makes more sense now. Sorry, missed that detail initially. Thanx.

Yes, I know NAV is supported. The specs state that *ONLY* NAV is supported. Thus my question, why isn't NON NAV supported? I don't have navigation in my 2001 4.4 X5.

It works with non nav systems. If you look at the screenshots on page 1, those are Business radio pics without nav.

the compatibility listing on DICE's website is incorrect.

All X5 Business Cassette, Business CD and 16:9 systems are supported, we have the correct compatibility listing on Post #1.

For the bluetooth option, could you describe how the microphone cable installation and placement would be performed? is the cable required?

Everything needed is included. There is a clip-on BT mic included, we mount them behind the factory Mic grille for an OEM appearance.

Everything needed is included with the MediaBridge kit.

Sounds very promising...When mounting behind the mic grille, how is the clip-on mic powered and how does it communicate with the MediaBridge?

The included Mic is powered by the MediaBridge itself.
