When DEPO first introduced this replacement headlight back in 2007, we were the first company to modify the headlight for improved angel eyes visibility. The headlight was redesigned with the CCFL angel eyes. Then we were the first to introduce the newly upgraded Orion V2 LED angel eyes to these headlights.

Today we offer 2 different headlight manufacturers, and we provide 4 different varieties of Projector53. Sonar and DEPO. Sonar is the same, DEPO is available in 4 varieties, each available on the product pages:
a) Standard with Orion V2 and H7
b) Standard with Orion V2 and H7 with LED corners
c) FXR equiped with Orion V2 and H7
d) FXR equipped with Orion V2 and H7 with LED Corners

Sonar and DEPO both make a quality headlight replacement for the 2000-2003 X5 headlights. Please see below for a full breakdown of the parts available.

1) Sonar with Orion V2 & Xenon
Benefits:

• Higher quality standard output projector than DEPO for better lighting
• Angel Eyes all the same size
• Plug and Play
• Auto-Leveling built in.

Drawbacks:[*]headlight projector cannot be upgraded to better one[*]Angel Eyes all the same size

2) DEPO with Orion V2 & Xenon
Benefits:

• Available with FXR
• Angel Eyes all mimic the factory 2004-2006 look with different sizes
• Plug and Play
• Auto-Leveling built in.

Drawbacks:[*]Poorer standard non-FXR visibility[*]has a poorer seal that requires a little more work to make sure it's water proof.

Only the Orion V2 based LED are warranted against any defects for life.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
We know in the past there was a lot of support with a product offered by one of the companies on ebay that appeared to be the same as Orion V2. The fact is that this company was not using the same quality LED, same quality manufacturing, or the same quality drivers for their LED.

That doesn't mean their product is bad. It's just not the same as the Orion V2.

for Sonar and DEPO, they are very similar, but the DEPO has a slightly worse pattern than the Sonar.

if you talk about FXR, then the FXR is going to have the same pattern but it can generally only be installed onto the DEPO version lights.

Just ordered DEPO with FXR today, The sales are great on the phone, very patient and knowledgeable , cant wait to put it in my car, I will update some photos once i have it installed.
