I think those tails are real and will remain that way for the E90 (sedan). The idea with the E92 was to set it apart from the E90 in some small ways. For example, the headlights and kidney grilles are different on the E92 as are the tail lights. I'm not in love with the E92 tail lights but they are rather 7er. I am not fond of the E90 tail lights hence my mod to Blacklines.

Couple of things.
335i sedan is still part of project E90. No matter what engine its still E90. E92 is the coupe development number... This time around because BMW's original intent was to make two separate series (3 & 4) the 3 sedan and 3 coupe have very different design. Although neither will ever exchange parts. So to sum up, The 3 sedan will keep its lights until its refresh in 3-4 years - despite the debut of the 335i engine. |

I am super impressed with the handling. I have the sport package so that helps but overall, it's pure BMW. I did not opt for the active steering as I thought it was a waste of money and rather useless on the 3er. I have owned an E30 M3 and an E36 sedan and this E90 is true to the formula that made every 3er a hit. I am just blown away with the features of the E90. The navigation is excellent and iDrive is a bit annoying but works well enough. The voice commands are good too. I love being able to change radio stations by voice or make navigation commands by voice. The PDC has both beeps and a graphic of a car that appears on the navigation screen to show you exactly where an object it. Cool! Go check one out. I'd get sport and premium for sure and if you want the trick toys, get nav as well. The only question for you is whether you want to wait and likely pay thousands more for the 335i. I had been reading that the sedan wasn't due to bow until next spring. I didn't want to wait and the 330 is certainly no slouch.
