GPS UPGRADE - Noob
I bought a BMW E46 320d and I have some questions about my radio and gps The radio:  The GPS:   What’s the model and designation of my radio and gps? The GPS can be updated ? What's the best upgrade that I can do? I see some models with 3d perspective and my GPS don’t have that option… may I have this in my model ? Sorry for the English! Hope you could help me. Here's your options:
head unit: The current 4:3 screen can be replaced with the 16:9 screen if you like. It should be a pretty straightforward swap. nav drive: you currently have a Mk3, which is CD based. you can swap that out for a Mk4, which is DVD based, and get fast processing and better graphics (including 3D Perspective) radio module: unless you are planning to add AUX input or satelite radio, there's no real benefit to updating this unit. If you do update then you'll need the adaptor harnesses that convert your round pin connectors to the newer style flat pin connectors. :xoutpost:
