This didn't take long - tuned 335 dyno test
While there are lots of rumours that the 335 is making more than the BMW-advertised 300 hp (one magazine saw close to that measuring RWHP on a dyno), presumably so as not to take sales away from the upcoming 400 hp M3, some just aren't satisfied. This team used a new engine control map, combined with 94 octane Vancouver fuel (which is apparently a world away from the 91 octane available in California, according to the tuner).
The result: 330 whp, 365 ft-lb torque, with a calculated 60 hp/85 ft-lb gain over their baseline run. That was with standard exhaust systems, all cats still installed. Impressive. The two owners seem to want to remain anonymous, something to do with warranties.... I wonder what the peak will be? Read more here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37515
