Whistle Tuner makes 810HP M5

..

Currency Motor Cars in Westlake, CA has introduced its first project in an "unprecedented line of supercars." The flagship model is a 2006 BMW M5 that can reach a top speed of 240 mph.

Its high compression V-10 engine has been altered by company founder Ron Cash to accommodate twin-turbos and a custom, hand crafted inter-cooled system to kick out an astounding 810 horses.

Although turbochargers are usually located under the hood, this M5 has its turbos under the rear bumper, where the rear silencers once were. Air is channeled to this location via a tube running along the passenger side of teh car. Amazingly, the seven-speed SMG transmission did not require any modifications.

The mind-boggling power of this vehicle is complimented by the exquisite $100,000 alteration of its interior. The leather in the steering wheel is the same as the leather in the seats. Fully aniline dyed Florida Crocodile in black.

The custom interior is all hand stitched, designed and installed by CMC co-founder Judy Amic-Angelo.

Currency Motors intends to build ten of these custom M5s, for $350,000 apiece

Oh. My. God. Can't imagine what the 100mph+ power must be like.

That's a lot of air tubing.

Pretty nifty, but having the turbos ALL that far away from the engine is going to suck for response. And, all those uncovered braided lines running up and down are a disaster waiting to happen.

IMO: That V10 is a great NA motor, they should have left it that way. The power is great, but that much completely takes the balance out of the car. Not feelin the Croco skin either.

I'll take a reg M5, Supersrpint headers + exhaust and spend the rest of the $250k on the exotic of my choice..please.

loved to hear the v10 can produce 800+ hp with twin turbocharing, but you gotta be sickly wealthy and piss money to drop 350k on an m5...still gotta be nice to have 800hp though, dang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wheels and seats have got to go. That completely takes away from the car.

Can anyone explain the turbos just behind the exhaust? Like it said in the post, most turbos are located in the engine bay, usually at the exhaust manifold. This is the second time I've seen it done like this. One of those shows on Spike did it... think it was Horsepower TV tv or something and they did it to a vette.

There's probably no room between the exhaust mani and frame rails for the turbos. The whole 'V' angle takes a lot of lateral space in the bay.

Last time I was i Florida there weren't too many crocs, mostly alligators. Either way I'm not digging the upholstery or the wheels.

I guess there isn't enough room in the engine bay for rerouted exhaust and manifold tubing and two turbos. You'd think for that kind of coin they could have wrapped the tubing in some nicer insulation. That stuff looks like gauze bandages.
