What is SMG? You know the answer.

hotttt! Looks good!

IMO hood gots to go (it probably will) reminds me of the ISF (the hood).
Also not crazy about the lower intake design...
But, everything else, (including the rear) looks fantastic!
Good job BMW!

You miss the "big butt" look of the E46 M3? Hmmm, funny how that the E92 M3 only has widened wheel arches at the front and not for the rear....

I would agree with opinion that the hood is overdone. It's got an unsightly hump that is bigger than a "power dome" needs to be and the vents are not only superfluous but ugly. The rear is not bad but the diffuser is a little heavy handed. The rear fenders should definitely be flared. The color is nice though.

I may be biased since I have an E90 but I think that the sedan version of the M3 will look nicer.

I agree with you. I personally the E90 Sedan looks more agressive than the E46 Sedan. The E92 Coupe looks a little bland compared with the E46 coupe, especially the E46 M3. However, I wonder if BMW is truly going to use the CSL-styled wheels or something else when it comes out. I can't remember if the M5 Concept shown at the Geneva autoshow a couple years ago or so had the same wheels as the current-day E60 M5....

So, sounds like the E92 M3 will have DSG...

Sedan is in works. BTW, did you put deposit for coupe or sedan M3?

The wheels on regular M3 will be more like as shown in pic above or in the one below.

The wheels used on the E90 M3 prototype looks like the ones from the E46 330i performance package.

I agree with you that the standard 18" wheels would probably be more like the white 2-door M3 above. However, just curious what the 19" wheels will look like....

Looks like the M3 concept car in Geneva had a traditional manual tranny (you can see 3-pedals)

At the time I left the deposit, there was no word on what configuration the next M3 would be so no specification was made. I just saw my name get filled in on spot Number 1 of the list.

Actually, there was very little known about it and the V8 engine was very much a rumor. It was a long time ago.

I don't know what I'm going to do when the official specs and prices are out. It will be crunch time to order or not.

Maybe I'll drop a deposit on an M3 sedan if it actually comes out considering they are showing one in the works. Although, a 335i would still be more than enough.

Anyways, I like the interior... the exterior is meh. All previous generations look better IMO, and the power dome on the e46 flows with the car. The e92 power dome looks like a pimple in desparate need of popping.
