///M3 Wagon?

I was in Palm Desert over Easter and saw this 3 wagon with the full M treatment and European plate. I don't think BMW offers this kit yet... What do you think? Real or not? Either way it looked good. Pics were taken with my phone so.. not the best quality.

Most likely a 530 sport wagon with exhaust and wheels....

Looks like a 335i or 335xi wagon. There is no side vent and it is missing the M3 style mirrors.

Its a 3 wagon for sure.

Probably an M doing hot weather testing...

Its wearing a regular 'M' bodykit that is available for any 3 series (wagon, sedan, coupe or convertible). As its way to early in its test cycle to be wearing production bumpers...

But we know its an M because:
- M wheels
- 4 exhausts
- German plates

BMW has stated multiple occasions that its interested in going after the wagon market. The revival of the M5 touring proves this...

With that being said, there the M3 wagon will never make it stateside...

It could be an E91 M3 doing testing but it's not hot weather testing. It's only in the 80's. If they want hot they'll have to return to Palm Desert in July when it's regularly 110. It also doesn't look like a typical BMW test mule. It would likely have New Jersey or California plates, not Euro plates. The roundel also looks like it had the blue part blacked out which is definitely not something BMW would do. EDIT: Aftermarket wheels are also a giveaway as BMW would use OEM wheels.

My guess is that it is a regular E91 with Blackline tail lights, tints, and a quad exhaust which is available for E90's. This is a quad exhaust on an E90 325i.
