No All season tires on 18in wheels (style 197) on 328xi??

Hi, im planning on ordering this new 328xi that my local dealer has on the floor. it comes with sport package with the 18" + summer tires.

I asked the dealer to put on all seasons instead with no charge and the guy told me what all season won't fit on the 18". Is this true?

I want all season tires now because i dont wish to go through the trouble to put them on when winter comes.

the guy tells me only way to get all season is to put on the standard 17" and he said he will do an even trade!!! no way, because I will be spending an extra CAD $2000 for nothing.

please advice. Thanks

I can't imagine why all seasons won't fit unless there is something 'special' about the Xi set-up such as TPMS or RF tires that are not available in all season.
What size are the wheels - I'm guessing 225/45 Front and 255/35 rear? If so, you should not have a problem. Kumho and Yoko made tires around this size that I used on my E46.

Have you checked tire rack?

Weird, as the BMW NA site shows 16" wheels & tires std,
with 2 17" wheel options, both with the 255/45-17 size.

18s aren't even on the site...

Back at the ranch, I think your Stlr is trying to stuff you.
