Question Hey LeMans...

A vendor of mine came by the office yesterday with his E70. He said he only got a 2 year lease because they are going to do a 7 with AWD Is that true? Would that mean the 6er gets AWD too

I have not heard of this gen of 6-series. This gen is already out with facelift and only M6 CSL announcement is left. Next gen of 6-series which will have the hardtop vert version. The bi-turbo V8 from X6 is also in next F01 7 series with 8 speed.

Perhaps he is waiting for the rumoured X7 (which would have AWD), and not an AWD 7 series

It didn't sound right to me. I told him I never heard about it and showed him the threads on the X6. Of course I gave him an X5World card

750xi = final nail in coffin of AUDI
760xi = nirvana

considering the MB and Audi, and their overwhelming market share of New England's big body car drivers, that just makes sense for BMW. It would be sick to have an AWD 6er, and they did bend on the "no diesel 6" thing...

I don't understand why BMW wants to put xDrive every model. I guess its the marketing dept that controls BMW thesedays.........

X drive in some ares is a must. I know where i live the winters can be really bad and i have to get to work no matter what. There is no option to stay home if it snows for me.
I to prefer rear wheel drive and wish Xdrive wasnt neccesary but for some people it is. So why should someone be forced to buy and ausi when they dont want one just because it has awd and Bimmer doesnt.

Thats what happened with my wife. She used to have an 04 audi A6 and the reason why she got it was the Quattro at the time bimmer had no 5 series awd option. So why should bmw loose sales to audi for no reason.
I really do think that bimmer offering AWD with the 7 will kill the A8 sales. as well as hte 5 series XI killing the A6 sales
