Thanksgiving Bimmer news.

Z4 production moves to Germany for the 2009/10 model year.

All X production (X3/X5/X6) will take place in the US.

M Division is still not sold on run-flats for their performance needs so no RFT for M.

X6 will be referred to as a CAV (crossover activity vehicle).

BMW is planning a small Xer to challenge the RAV4 (why??)

2008, expect the 335d and 535d.

Keep an eye out for a Z6 in 2009/10.

BMW & AUDI have teamed up to attempt to unseat SH-AWD by Honda as the best AWD system.

Speculation of a V12 (yes twelve cylinders) for the X series.

* all from latest Roundel issue. (pg 28-30)

Roundel guys are getting old and not doing their homework lately, so I don't believe all of what they say. CAV Some are just their guesses or their wishes.

And if its built in south america they will call it CHAVEZ.

Its called SAC(Sports Activity Coupé) by BMW. CAV is Roundel's creation. I have not heard any reference to CAV by BMW yet. See PDF attached below.

Since when is Honda's SH-AWD the best AWD system? Any truth to this?

Roundel has always given SH-AWD the nod especially in RDX/X3 and MDX/X5 comparisons.

As of now, I think it's the only yaw-control capable AWD system.
