E30 question??

Hi all,

My son's e30 318i has a A/C ventilation fan issue...it only works flat out on position 4. I am wondering if it is the switch or the reostat that would be the problem and if it is the reostat, where is it located.

Hopefully somebody here has had something to do with these oldy but goody models.

Your fan resistor has burnt out and defaulted to the highest speed. It is located on the firewall behind a small panel with plastic nuts. Open it up and replace the resistor pack inside.
