Blast from the past - Z18

Came across these pictures of the BMW Z18 concept vehicle. This was built in 1995, and made the rounds of various car shows until 2001. It had a 4.4 V8, AWD, and several styling cues that made it to the E53. The floor had drains so that it could be hosed out, it had no roof, and the rear deck lid could be swapped out to make it a pickup, or as shown here, an Off Roadster. The instrument panel apparently influenced the Z8 design. Interesting to see what BMW was experimenting with years ago.
