Interesting vid, esp if one rides...back at the organ donor/crash ranch, I was a
little less than enthused over ~9 mins of those kinds of speeds on LI, in the dark.

No tsk-tsk here, as I like to go fast on one of my scoots or in the Vette, on occasion,
but always on some deserted azz road; if I lose it and crash, it is just me, not a van full
of night shift people waddling down the road.

And, every brand is making kick azz sport bikes these days, imo.

Not condoning this sort of behaviour at all. I'd ridden (and raced in my younger days) bikes for 40 years and this is not the secret to a long life for either yourself, or anyone else on the road for that matter.

And just a note on the S1000RR vs the other hi-po sports bikes. In its debut year in the FIM's Superstock 1000 class (essentially a production bike class that is run in conjunction with the FIM's World Superbike Championship), the S1000RR has won four from four rounds and BMW leads both the riders and the manufacturers championship which includes all the big players - the four Japanese manufacturers + Ducati and Aprilia.

Now that's a sweet piece of riding. As a former Ryder **hint the name** I know that the speed is actually a little less than what you are seeing. 186mph is really about 5-9 mph less. Non the less, this ryder was moving like he stole it.......Phil

Yeah, big balls and pretty careless as well. I actually met someone who lost a teenage daughter because some idiot on a bike was going so fast that when he crashed into the side of her car it killed her.

I know some of you ride, but I absolutely hate sharing the road with bikes in general. Way too often I end up getting stuck behind bikes slowing traffic in the fast lane as they ride together in pairs or worse, groups (cruiser types). I also see them flying by or weaving in and out of traffic (crotch rockets). I also hate being stuck next to Harley's with their obnoxious exhaust notes. I guess I am not a fan. I get annoyed with a lot of automobile drivers as well, so don't let me offend any of you too much.
