FS: 2010 X5///M, Silverstone, Black Merino, Piano Black Trim $39,500
Well, the time has come to let this one go. I'm proud to say the truck is now sorted out, running beautifully, and a definite enjoyment to drive. However, as my two little girls grow, I realize the cost of ownership is not justifiable for us. In addition, the size is a little unnecessary, we will fit just fine in the X3. Not to mention, the performance of this truck is absolutely wasted down here. No "driving roads" to really enjoy it on. So, time to let it go for a more economical vehicle. Specs and details are as follows:
2010 X5///M, VIN last 7 are LK25272 Silverstone Metallic/Black Merino Leather/Piano Black trim -Cold Weather Package (heated steering wheel and front/rear seats) -Driver Assistance Package (rear view camera, head up display, auto high beams) -Premium Sound Package (6 disc DVD changer, enhanced premium sound) High gloss (shadowline) roof rails Power lift gate Comfort access Satellite radio (Yes, I have the window sticker) The vehicle is in excellent condition with 52K miles, a clear title, and no lien. Original in service date is 08/31/2009. It had an additional 2 yr/50k mile maintenance plan, which expired on 08/31/2015 (during my ownership). I am the 2nd owner and have owned the truck for just less than 2 years, purchased 8/29/14 with 32K miles. In my time, I have done a ton of maintenance, and a few mods. This is the wife's vehicle to transport the kids and it rarely gets driven hard. Current Mechanical Conditions: Front swaybar endlinks replaced @ 35,5xx miles Spark plugs replaced, oil changed, wiper blades @ 35,6xx miles Replaced vacuum connecting hoses on top of engine @ 36,6xx miles Replaced iDrive controller @ 37,0xx miles Right post cat O2 sensor replaced @ 37,1xx miles Left post cat O2 sensor & engine vacuum pump replaced @ 38,0xx miles Brake pads replaced & fluid flushed @ 39,9xx miles (replaced with Centric Posi-Quiet for less dust) Revised/updated gas cap installed @ 40,3xx miles Leak diagnostic (DMTL) pump replaced at @ 43,1xx miles Fuel tank vent valves/hoses replaced @ 44,3xx miles Oil Change @ 45,0xx miles Right side boost pressure sensor replaced @ 45,0xx miles Tires replaced & alignment done @ 47,4xx miles (replaced with Michelin PSS, 21" OEM sizes) Left side turbo inlet tube "filtered air pipe" replaced (new updated seals) @ 47,4xx miles) Fuel Injectors replaced as per recent SIB 13 08 15 @ 48,9xx miles Coolant expansion tank replaced @ 48,9xx miles Oil change @ 49,2xx miles I have all of the records for the work I have done (some oil changes done myself) and I have the Dealer Warranty Inquiry report as of the time I purchased. I will provide an updated report with all additional work done during my ownership. Current Modifications Gloss black kidney grills & side markers iND Color matched rear "X5///M" emblem, front & rear reflectors Windows tinted (30% Llumar FormulaOne Pinnacle front two, Llumar AirBlue 80 all other windows, including windshield) I had the tint done, all tint has a lifetime warranty K&N air filters @ 38k miles 15mm front/20mm rear spacers OEM BMW Style 239 wheels, 21x10" front, 21x11.5" rear (with correct hub rings for rear) -285/35-21 Michelin PSS front, 325/30-21 Michelin PSS rear Yellow powder coated brake calipers with ///M logos Lux H8 160 corona ring bulbs LCI taillights OEM BMW Performance carbon fiber front lip spoiler Carbon fiber side mirror caps OEM catless downpipes Velos tune w/ personal programmer As some of you know, I purchased a set of catted downpipes from a member here, but they did not fit correctly. These downpipes will come with the truck. This is the reason I chose to go catless with the OEM downpipes. Perfect fit with the performance and sound increase. In addition, I replaced all of the exhaust gaskets when I did this. I went catless because the underhood heat in these trucks is absolutely immense, and I was concerned as heat is a major contributing factor to material failure. Now, the underhood temps are definitely manageable, even in the Florida summer (the truck was originally sold down here). There are no accidents or issues with the truck. The body and paint are perfect and the surface is smooth. Mechanically it is sound and runs really well. If there were any issues to speak of, the wheels could use refinishing. No major curb rash, just areas where the paint is too thin and has been rubbed through. I have a local guy and a quote for refinishing the wheels, I just haven't had it done yet. Also, the carpeted floor mats could use replacing (front two only, rears are great). I will post a few current photos as soon as I get her cleaned up. We've had torrential rain the past few days.
