Palbay,

Here is what I think.
The X6 M will get a 5.5 litre V10 (S85B55)
The X5 M will get an uptuned 4.4 TTV8 (N64B44 engine)
With this BMW can justify keeping the 4.8 V8 engine option alive with the X5, and also but a gap between the X6 50i and the X6 M.

I honestly do think it might be two different engines.BMW must keep the X6 differentiated from the X5 even in the "M" brand.I think your on to something!!! Thanks. PalBay

My take on the engines...from what i've gathered so far is they may have the same TTV8. However after hearing their exhaust notes, my thoughts are that the X6 ///M engine may be a slightly bored and stroked version (or may just be a different exhaust). I also consider that most coups post better performance #'s than their sedan counterparts.

My guess is that the X6 ///M will post the the best times for suv/sav when it hits the market...

I am hoping it will get paddle shifters and clearly be distinguishable from the 'regular' X5. Wonder what the special M wheels will look like?

Some special colors will be awesome as well.
