BMW are shipped in white BMT trucks in US. There have been cases where the carrier moved the upper deck too low and hit the roof of car below. Last edited by LeMansX5; 09-26-2009 at 12:17 AM.

hello! this is my first post!
I want to congrat B-line and everybody else that ordered an X5 M, this is awesome (talking to the proud owners of my favorite car) i cant imagine how cool it will be to go to a dealer with the money and build your own car and just wait for the car to come.. well congrats again dudes, im waiting for those pics  hey a little question.. can you order an X5 M with 3rd row seat and 239 21" wheels?

i was told late oktober too , then i got a call today that my M is waiting at the dealer for me... i will say without a doubt it has been the most confusing car purchase of my life . no one seemed to know what the hell anything was or when i would see it. im waiting to pick it up ( i wanted the 3m tape to protect the front but of course they dont have the program yet to cut it out.)
 i also ordered the painted roof rails and it doesnt have them. the guy at the dealership said bmw isnt putting them on the car . the best part is that the dealership i go to has two different places & there is an x5m with rails at their other facility. he has no clue what he is doing. i hope the car makes up for the crappy dealership and all the confusion at the time i "had" to order. my 4.6is experience was so far a million times better...i am glad i kept it

Are you sure it doesn't have the roof rails? The online tracking didn't list them individually, but mine 'showed up' with the.
I agree 100% that BMW really could improve the communication - both from the factory to the dealer and from the factory to the end user. BMW really misses an opportunity to build excitement through the build process and post-build. They further let themselves down by not being very accurate. The upside is that they are cranking these ///X5&6M's out quickly. Mine took 3 weeks from order to me in the front seat. That's great. I think you'll dig it.. quantum leap from the E53 (no dis on that, I had one too). Good luck with delivery and congrats.
